Daytime television host, best-selling author and animal lover Rachael Ray is thrilled to announce a partnership with Kitty Kind, Inc. and Meow Parlour, New York City’s first permanent cat café. Rachael is donating more than 174,000 meals of her Nutrish® for Cats super premium wet cat food to the rescue partner Kitty Kind, Inc. who is providing the adoptable cats for the café.

The partnership was announced today on the nationally syndicated “Rachael Ray” show, during which Rachael made a visit to the café and surprised Kitty Kind, Inc. and Meow Parlour founders Christina Ha and Emile Legrand with the $172,000 food donation. The meals will allow Kitty Kind and Meow Parlour to feed a high quality and great tasting food to the adoptable cats, not only in their care but also beyond. All those who adopt a cat through the Kitty Kind and Meow Parlour will receive a two-month supply of Rachael Ray Nutrish wet cat food to start their new family member off on the right paw, as long as supplies last.

Christina Ha and Emilie Legrand can relate to the joy of bringing a cat home as they are both parents to rescue cats.

"We began this crazy journey of opening New York City's first cat cafe with the end goal of helping more cats find forever homes so that others can experience the joy that cats have brought to our lives," says Ha. "We are so grateful for Rachael Ray Nutrish's generous gift to Kitty Kind which will allow us to care for these cats even after they have left Meow Parlour."

Rachael is a known animal advocate and donates her individual proceeds from the sale of Rachael Ray Nutrish to organizations that help animals in need, resulting more than $7 million in donations to date.

In 2008, Rachael Ray partnered with pet nutrition experts from Ainsworth Pet Nutrition® to develop a line of super premium food and treats for dogs called Rachael Ray© Nutrish©. Rachael Ray© Nutrish© is made with simple, natural ingredients and includes full-feeding varieties featuring real meat as the first ingredient. In 2014, Rachael Ray© Nutrish© launched their first ever natural food for cats in both wet and dry varieties, which does not contain any artificial preservatives, flavors or poultry by-product meal. To date, all of Ray’s individual proceeds from each sale of Rachael Ray© Nutrish© food and treats are donated to organizations that help animals in need through Rachael’s RescueTM  ( So, not only are Nutrish© products great for your dog and cat, they’re great for countless other dogs and cats as well.
